Dreaming In the Yard

Life is a collaboration. My art is all about illuminating the joy of people and their positive effects . This project ignited when artist Rita Grendze introduced me to “We still have all our stories, like stars in the sky” -Geneva Daily in the spring of 2025. Working with Kelly on a concept and creating a proposal to incorporate the D.I.Y. theme of Terrain Exhibitions was great fuel for all of my different art approaches. There were no constraints, just encouragement and this led me to wish to celebrate Kelly and I chose many of her photos for inspiration to paint. Thanks to her engineer husband Alex the paintings are beautifully hung along with the most clever hanging system. I thank them both for this fulfilling moment in the life of an artist. May we continue to dream in the yard and inspire others to do the same.

The Terrain Biennial is a grassroots public art festival that brings artists and neighbors together to put public art on the front lawns (and stoops, porches, windows and rooftops, too) of neighborhoods across the world. Look for the map across the world.
